Probably a bit late now but Indian Lounge on Grays Inn Road was pretty decent when I last went...

Dishoom in KX is good for atmosphere. For food it's better than the bog standard Indian but it's not that great either.

I left Chalk Farm over 20 years ago, but really miss both the Bengal Lancer and Madras Valley (for take aways)... They're both still open.

Make your own, buy some end-of-date meat on sale, leave it out in a sunny spot by the window for a few days, marinate in foul smelling and tasting spices then serve up with some rice and naan to pissed up folk whose taste buds left them years ago.

Get on the tube to Kentish Town and give The Bengal Lancer on Kentish Town Rd a go. My favourite and been going since 1986 so they are doing something right.

Yatri on Chalton Street which is just off the Euston Road between the two stations. I went about a month ago. It was very good. A bit Hipster but everywhere is like that now. I've never been a fan of Drummond Street.

That's why I said real. Honestly, it really isn't very good or appealing. I'm sure that restaurant is good, though.

Sore point.
There used to be a brilliant Goan one, which shut just after I discovered it.
Everything else I've tried round there is horrible, or at least overrated.

Coffee, that restaurant has been open for fucking years, do you think a restaurant is going to stay open, serving just rice and Dal?

That Street behind Euston ok. Just pick carefully. Lots are not and specialise us south Indian, vegetarian, dosas etc. Drummond st think it's called.
